Is this really a fail for Jonathan or is this a FTW for the homeowner? Maybe Facebook should be some sort of security for your home. Have your computer always on and have it sitting on Facebook, you know, just waiting for the potential burglar, just for the tease. Facebook is just so0O0 irresistible isn't it???
Personally, I think Facebook is good to an extent, but then there are people that become obsessed and they actually become very jealous/envious people because they are looking at others who are having fun, and they are sitting at their computer... watching their friends have fun without them at that moment. I see facebook as almost an answering machine to msn or calling your friends. You can leave them a message on their wall so that the can get back to you when they are available. But then... some people have hundreds and hundreds of thousands of 'friends' that they never even talk to... it's almost like you are collecting people... it's strange. One of my friends (lets call him Bob) actually had over 1,000 'friends.' I don't think that is even possible! I would say you need to speak to your friend AT THE MINIMUM once a month to be considered a friend. Also, say Bob see's 20 friends a day (which is a lot in my opinion). This means that Bob has 620 friends! (20friends/day*31days/month) and that's IF these conditions are met! That means that Bob has AT LEAST 480 so called 'friends.' I dunno, it's weird when you have people on your facebook that don't even know you creeping your information...
The video below shows how huge technology and social networking is becoming. I wonder what the next big thing will be? This video definitely has that wow factor and music that makes you go wooooowie woooooooeeeee
I love collecting people. They are pretty and I can pet them.... :D
ReplyDelete(jk if anyone thinks I'm seriously that creepy. ha!)
I am NOT a collector and I still have a lot of friends on facebook.
ReplyDeleteI think your perception on 'friends' on facebook is different than how it actually is.
MSN friends should be your closer friends that you talk to on a week-to-week or even month-to-month basis.
Facebook friends are simply your 'acquaintances' and if you see them walking in a school hallway, a 'hey' or even a simple nod would typically occur. That transaction would prove facebook friendship status.
Isn't acquaintances and friends a totally different status though? Ok you are acquaintances in real life, but on the net you are friends?
ReplyDeleteSo what is the point in having a person you don't really know well on your facebook? Also, But I'm kinda a hypocrite because I have a lot of people on facebook who are acquaintances... >_>
More people = more opportunities to creep = a more enjoyable facebook for everyone!
