Auto-Tune

Auto-Tune is used to disguise off-key inaccuracies and mistakes, and has allowed singers to perform perfectly tuned vocal tracks without the need of singing in tune. While its main purpose is to slightly bend sung pitches to the nearest true semitone, Auto-Tune can be used as an effect to distort the human voice when pitch is raised or lowered significantly.

Did you know back in the day
(1998) Cher made a song with Auto-Tune? Do you know which one? It's called Believe. When this song came out, I seriously thought this was her real voice, her actual singing... but I was sadly mistaken... When I listen to the song now, I realize how obvious the Auto-Tune is especially at 0:43 it sounds so mechanical now...

LAME - Faith Hill
I love her song The Way You Love me, but I recently found out that she uses Auto-Tune, claiming it's a safety net that guarantees a good performance. That's like being a professor and marking students correct when they are wrong... because it's better for their performance! UGH! SO WRONG! However, other singers, like Loretta Lynn, Allison Moorer, Trisha Yearwood, Vince Gill, Garth Brooks, Martina McBride, and Patty Loveless have refused to use Auto-Tune... but do you guys even know who these people are? I don't... what is the world coming to? Fake music?!

Cool - lil' Wayne
I was never really into rap, R&B, or hip-hip but this song made me start listening to these genres much more! Even though the lyrics usually suck, I love the beats and the rhythm.

Funny - Mario! XD

Social Networking

Is this really a fail for Jonathan or is this a FTW for the homeowner? Maybe Facebook should be some sort of security for your home. Have your computer always on and have it sitting on Facebook, you know, just waiting for the potential burglar, just for the tease. Facebook is just so0O0 irresistible isn't it???

Personally, I think Facebook is good to an extent, but then there are people that become obsessed and they actually become very jealous/envious people because they are looking at others who are having fun, and they are sitting at their computer... watching their friends have fun without them at that moment. I see facebook as almost an answering machine to msn or calling your friends. You can leave them a message on their wall so that the can get back to you when they are available. But then... some people have hundreds and hundreds of thousands of 'friends' that they never even talk to... it's almost like you are collecting people... it's strange. One of my friends (lets call him Bob) actually had over 1,000 'friends.' I don't think that is even possible! I would say you need to speak to your friend AT THE MINIMUM once a month to be considered a friend. Also, say Bob see's 20 friends a day (which is a lot in my opinion). This means that Bob has 620 friends! (20friends/day*31days/month) and that's IF these conditions are met! That means that Bob has AT LEAST 480 so called 'friends.' I dunno, it's weird when you have people on your facebook that don't even know you creeping your information...

The video below shows how huge technology and social networking is becoming. I wonder what the next big thing will be? This video definitely has that wow factor and music that makes you go wooooowie woooooooeeeee
